Medix FTP Service (the "Service") is designed to provide you with an easy way to transfer files relevant to the management of your case to Medix Medical Services Europe Limited ("Medix", "we" and "us").

 

The following terms and conditions together with the Medix Information Security Policy (which may be found at http://medix- europe.com/Information_Security_Policy.aspx) (together, the "Terms of Service"), form the agreement between you and us in relation to your use of the Service. Using the Service

 

In order to use the Service, you will be required to log in by submitting your member number which was provided to you by the Medix staff, your name and e-mail address. Once you have logged in, you will be able to upload files to the Service. Protection of your information

 

We take the safeguarding of your information very seriously. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure of your information we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic and administrative procedures to safeguard and secure the files you upload to the Service. However, no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic data storage is 100% secure and while we have put in place appropriate protections, we cannot guarantee the security of information you upload to the Service.

 

Quality and availability of the Service

 

While we make reasonable efforts to provide the Service, it is provided "as is" with no representation, guarantee or warranty of any kind as to its availability, functionality, that it will meet your requirements or that it will be free of errors or viruses.

Excess weight, high blood pressure and a lack of sufficient exercise, are contributing factors in developing diabetes. Here are four effective tips to help avoid health complications.

  1. Move more! – Beat the bulge and get active. Excess weight and obesity put   unnecessary strain on your entire body. Make exercise a habit. Avoid the elevator and turn the stairs into a cardio workout. At lunch breaks take a brisk walk outside. When sitting at your desk for extended periods remember to stretch. This aids in circulation and avoids stiffness. A simple exercise to remember; sit with your back 90° parallel to your back rest. Place both hands on the left arm rest. Gently push against the arm rest as you twist your upper body to face the back of your chair taking deep breaths in and releasing them as you twist. Repeat this movement on right side.

  2. Snack attack – The vending machine is not your friend. Create your own snacks that are healthy and Low GI (Glycemic index) making you feel fuller for longer. Replace saturated with unsaturated fats. Cook the right amount of portions so as not to over eat. Enjoy six small, well balanced meals a day packed with fresh vegetables, whole-grain cereals and lean protein.

  3. Rise and shine – When you sleep less you tend to consume more. A healthy dose of 8 hours of sleep will give your body the rest it deserves. People with diabetes that generally get enough shut-eye have been shown to have better dietary habits and improved sugar levels.

  4. Check please – Don't skip out on regular check-ups. This gives you the opportunity to assess your state of health. If adjustments need to be made your doctor, healthcare provider or dietician can suggest a plan that best suits your needs.
