Medix FTP Service (the "Service") is designed to provide you with an easy way to transfer files relevant to the management of your case to Medix Medical Services Europe Limited ("Medix", "we" and "us").

 

The following terms and conditions together with the Medix Information Security Policy (which may be found at http://medix- europe.com/Information_Security_Policy.aspx) (together, the "Terms of Service"), form the agreement between you and us in relation to your use of the Service. You should read the Terms of Service carefully before agreeing to them. You acknowledge and agree that by clicking on the "Upload" button, you are indicating that you accept the Terms of Services and agree to be bound by them.

 

Using the Service

 

In order to use the Service, you will be required to log in by submitting your member number which was provided to you by the Medix staff, your name and e-mail address. Once you have logged in, you will be able to upload files to the Service. We will download your files to our system and no copy will be retained on the server used to provide the Service. For detailed upload instructions, please click here.

 

Protection of your information

 

We take the safeguarding of your information very seriously. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure of your information we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic and administrative procedures to safeguard and secure the files you upload to the Service. However, no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic data storage is 100% secure and while we have put in place appropriate protections, we cannot guarantee the security of information you upload to the Service.

 

Quality and availability of the Service

 

While we make reasonable efforts to provide the Service, it is provided "as is" with no representation, guarantee or warranty of any kind as to its availability, functionality, that it will meet your requirements or that it will be free of errors or viruses.

 

We will not be responsible for any damage to your computer system or the computer system of any third party resulting from your use of the Services where such damage is caused by circumstances which are beyond our reasonable control.

有些世界上最健康的食物是不能與特定藥物混合服用的

飲食能削弱許多藥物的有效性。這問題十分常見,卻不廣為人知。很少人會深入思考身體的實際消化過程。我們所吃喝的東西會加快或減慢藥物的吸收速度,降低藥性甚至產生毒素,或引起額外副作用。

甘草根是用作舒緩胃部不適的古老療法,但它並不能與高血壓藥物混合服用,因為它會降低體內的鉀水平,從而令電解質失衡和心跳異常。事實上,在沒有服用藥物的情況下,也不能食用過多的甘草根。上月,《新英格蘭醫學雜誌》報導了美國一位54歲的建築工人,因連續數星期每天進食一包半的甘草糖果而心臟病發身亡。雖然這是一個極端案例,但甘草根的影響絕對不容忽視。

1. 柑橘類水果

如西柚、橙、蘋果、柚子和楊桃,它們含有豐富的維生素C,但當中的呋喃香豆素,會抑制代謝藥物的酶。研究顯示,西柚汁會使抗組胺藥(例如非索非那定)以及抗生素的功效減半,包括環丙沙星,左氧氟沙星,伊曲康唑(抗真菌藥)和異煙肼(TB)。

 

柑橘果汁也不適合與高血壓藥或高膽固醇藥一同服用,如阿替洛爾、西脂洛爾和塔利洛爾     等,和阿托伐他汀,辛伐他汀和洛伐他汀等。

 

2. 綠葉蔬菜

它們是超級食物,含有多種有益礦物質和維生素,當中包括維生素K。它有助於保持骨骼健康和血液凝固,但這對服用血液稀釋劑如華法林的人無益。因此,服用藥物後的二至六小時內,應避免食用菠菜、羽衣甘藍、萵苣、球芽甘藍、西蘭花或西芹。而煮熟的洋蔥則帶有相反效果。

 

十字花科蔬菜還會影響止痛藥如乙酰氨基酚(撲熱息痛)的吸收。

 

3. 奶類製品

鈣會減低人體吸收某些抗生素的速度,當中的螯合作用使鈣離子與四環素抗生素如強力黴素和利奈唑胺(肺炎和抗藥性金黃葡萄球菌)產生不溶性化合物。服藥前兩小時或服藥後六小時應避免進食奶類製品。

 

4. 熟成和發酵食品

這些食物有高含量的酪胺,酪胺需透過體內的單胺氧化酶(MAO)來分解。過量的酪胺會使血管收縮,引致高血壓。因此,服用含有苯乙肼和反式環丙胺等MAO抑制劑的抗抑鬱藥物或抗焦慮藥物人使應避免進食這些食物。

 

例子有乾果、過熟的水果如香蕉等、熟成芝士、蝦醬、燻制魚、醃製肉、經發酵和醃製的食品如味僧、豆腐、泡菜、克菲爾酸奶和酸菜等,以及發酵酒精像啤酒、紅酒和雪利酒等。

 

5. 咖啡因

這是一種興奮劑,會影響中樞神經系統和增加呼吸頻率。如果將其與哮喘和慢性阻塞性肺疾病(如茶鹼)的支氣管藥物同時服用,會產生噁心、震顫和失眠等不良反應。

 

當使用止痛藥(如布洛芬)時,應減少飲用含咖啡因的飲料,如碳酸飲品等。因為飲品中的二氧化碳會破壞藥丸的塗層,加速藥物釋出。
