Terms of use

Medix FTP Service (the "Service") is designed to provide you with an easy way to transfer files relevant to the management of your case to Medix Medical Services Europe Limited ("Medix", "we" and "us").

 

The following terms and conditions together with the Medix Information Security Policy (which may be found at http://medix- europe.com/Information_Security_Policy.aspx) (together, the "Terms of Service"), form the agreement between you and us in relation to your use of the Service. You should read the Terms of Service carefully before agreeing to them. You acknowledge and agree that by clicking on the "Upload" button, you are indicating that you accept the Terms of Services and agree to be bound by them.

 

Using the Service

 

In order to use the Service, you will be required to log in by submitting your member number which was provided to you by the Medix staff, your name and e-mail address. Once you have logged in, you will be able to upload files to the Service. We will download your files to our system and no copy will be retained on the server used to provide the Service. For detailed upload instructions, please click here.

 

Protection of your information

 

We take the safeguarding of your information very seriously. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure of your information we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic and administrative procedures to safeguard and secure the files you upload to the Service. However, no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic data storage is 100% secure and while we have put in place appropriate protections, we cannot guarantee the security of information you upload to the Service.

 

Quality and availability of the Service

 

While we make reasonable efforts to provide the Service, it is provided "as is" with no representation, guarantee or warranty of any kind as to its availability, functionality, that it will meet your requirements or that it will be free of errors or viruses.

 

We will not be responsible for any damage to your computer system or the computer system of any third party resulting from your use of the Services where such damage is caused by circumstances which are beyond our reasonable control.

Medix的一項調查發現,香港市民不止懼怕疾病,甚至害怕他們的醫生!這對他們的健康是百害而無一利的,為此我們提出三項建議

幾乎所有香港人都擔憂自己的健康狀況,僅20%年齡組別介乎26至50歲之間的港人認為自己「非常健康」。
 
哪些疾病特別讓港人憂慮?
 
一項近期的調查顯示,港人最為擔憂的嚴重疾病包括︰癌症(79%)、中風(67%)、心臟病(46%)。雖然如此,但仍有三分之二受訪者並未就所憂慮的疾病作定期的預防檢查。
 
Medix 集團總裁Sigal Atzmon女士表示:「提高健康意識和及早診斷是預防和/或治療嚴重疾病的關鍵。根據世界衛生組織的數據,每年有超過3,600萬人死於非傳染性疾病,如心血管疾病、癌症、慢性呼吸道疾病和糖尿病等。癌症是香港的頭號殺手,佔2014年死亡人數的30%,其他主要的可預防非傳染性疾病亦對香港有重大影響;心血管疾病佔死亡人數的21.2%,慢性下呼吸道疾病則佔3.8%。」
 
值得欣慰的是,所有人都能夠採取行動以預防令人擔憂的非傳染性疾病。簡單的改變生活方式,如減少鹽和糖的攝取量、戒煙、作定期檢查以及早診斷疾病都能大大降低患病風險,讓大家加倍安心。
 
這項調查訪問了532名持有醫療保險人士,當中有40%對其家庭醫生所提供的疾病預防資訊感到不滿。但結果亦發現,63%的受訪者並沒有進行定期檢查或適當的疾病篩查習慣。
 
是次研究顯示,約四分一受訪者並不完全信任專科醫生的診斷和治療建議。然而在求診時,僅約一半受訪者對向醫生提問感到自在。其中女性似乎(58%)較男性(50%)更願意向醫生提問。另外,絕大部分受訪者對尋求第二醫療意見(81%)及個人療程管理服務(76%)感興趣。
 
尋求專家意見意味著什麼?
 
病人一方面不會向醫生提問,另一方面,他們又不完全信任醫生給予的意見。
 
不論原因為何,這些都不利於你的健康。你可以如何幫助自己?
 
  1. 為會診作事前準備︰
    a. 細閱一些講述相關狀況的可靠健康網頁。
    b. 準備好一系列問題
    c. 你的提問可以包括︰有另一種診斷的可能性嗎?哪是什麼?需要額外的測試以進一步確診嗎?有其他治療方法嗎?
  2. 尋求第二醫療意見。這過程可能會有些尷尬,因此,我們有一些建議,讓你在獲得第二醫療意見的同時,又能與你的診治醫生保持良好關係。請向診治醫生表明你完全信任他,且相信他能體諒你的處境。你可以向他解釋只有在獲悉所有可行的選擇後,你才能安心地作出一個足以影響一生的決定。
  3. 由專家管理你的醫療個案。第二醫療意見是指讓另一名醫生以單一角度作二次診斷,但個人療程管理服務是指由全球的相關專家對病人的診斷和選取的治療作多角度的覆核和諮詢。專屬的個人療程管理主任醫生會綜合各個專家的意見,為病人撰寫一份全面的書面報告。他們會竭盡所能確保你的診斷無誤並得到最適合的醫療護理。
